The Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce has recognized Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre (CYBT) as the winner in the Non – Profit category in
ceremonies held last night at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach. The other top two nominees in the category were the American Cancer
Society and United Way of Horry County.

CYBT was chosen as the winner because of the work that the dance organization does – it is dedicated to the cultural enrichment of the entire
Grand Strand through education, outreach performances and scholarship programs.

Board of Directors Chairman Mr. Tom Keegan, CYBT Guild Coordinator Mrs. Jerra Montsinger, CYBT Guild Volunteer Mrs. Kristi Jones (who
has coordinated CYBT's Elementary Schools and Nursing Homes performances) and Mr. Greg Mata, Ms. Liza's husband, witnessed the
Awards attended by Myrtle Beach business leaders and nominees.

Ms. Liza, in accepting the awards last night, acknowledged the people who are behind CYBT's successful implementation of its program – the
CYBT Board of Directors, the CYBT Volunteers Guild (comprised of the parents and grandparents of the company members), the teachers and
staff, and of course, the young company members whose ages ranges from 6 – 14 years old and to whom Ms. Liza's vision and mission of the
company is focused on.

Ms. Liza also mentioned that CYBT is only two years old and has already given its young company members the opportunity to perform in
professionally staged full-length Nutcracker productions which CYBT hopes to make as an annual event in the area, given out scholarships,
given young company members the invaluable opportunity to work with visiting guest artists, offered elementary school children in the area an
opportunity to come see the Nutcracker production for free, and had the young CYBT company members visit and perform for residents of
nursing homes.

For all the hard work- constant planning and organizing, endless practices, never –ending volunteer work (fundraising, backstage, front of
house, administrative and technical support, young dancers' supervision, costuming concerns) that everyone involved had put in achieving this
recognition, from no less than the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce , a big Congratulations and keep up the good work! God is so good for
blessing CYBT with good families and community support.
