Coastal Dance Studio recognizes board chairman Keegan

* The Coastal Dance Centre held a blessing of the studio on Aug. 28 that was officiated by Fr.
Raymond Carlo. The day’s activities included the introduction of a new CDC logo and recognition of
outgoing Coastal Youth Ballet Board of Directors, who received appreciation plaques. Incoming
member of the board of directors were introduced by by CYBT board of directors chair Tom
Keegan. The CYBT junior patrons program was announced, and there were performances by
students and by alumnus Bailey Moon.

* Filipiniana Fiesta III was held on Aug. 28 at the Duffy Center at St.Michael Catholic Church. The
event was alive with Filipino customs, costumes, food and dance, drawing a big crowd of more
than 300 Filipino-American families This annual event is held to raise money for the church’s new
building fund. Coastal Dance Center students performing included Cami Martin, Kaitlyn Cressman,
Ashley Jones, Molly Keegan, Madison Lapham, Hannah Osborne, Jenny Rogers, Julya Coggins,
Francesca Gonzales, Rachel McClellan, Madelyn Anderson, Cameron Jones and Ellie Harrell, who
all received a standing ovation from the audience for their performance of “It’s The Hard-Knock Life.”

Tom Keegan was recently recognized for heading the board of directors since Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre was founded in 2006. This happened during the blessing of the studio.
